The Romanian Man

To me the film is about a Romanian Refugee who is struggling in society, being very alienated. Occasionally finding pleasures reminding him of home, such as dancing to Romanian pop songs.

He also is struggling with reading a letter, this letter could be from anyone, such as the government, an English speaking girlfriend or an employer. Whoever its from, to me its bad news. News which simply destroys this mans hope for a new life in England and making him revert back to his life in Romania.

The Issues which could apply to this script could be immigrants/refugees coming to England and the the inferior treatment from British people towards these people.

This could be added easily with a look of disgust from the woman in scene 2 towards the Romanian man as he drinks and spills the water supplied by the government office's water cooler, implying that he is not worthy this water and to spill this water is an utter insult.
